Johnson & Johnson names awardees in the Data & AI Fueling R&D of Tomorrow QuickFire Challenge: Singapore & Beyond

July 20, 2026 - Today, Johnson & Johnson announced that ChemT Biotechnology, Hill Research, Prima Mente, and Waypoint Bio have been selected as the awardees of the Data & AI Fueling R&D of Tomorrow QuickFire Challenge: Singapore & Beyond.

Innovators around the world with a demonstrated interest in leveraging the Singapore ecosystem were invited to submit their novel AI/ML innovation strategies and approaches to augmented science with the potential to transform drug discovery and research.

These four awardees are being recognized for their potentially groundbreaking solutions:

ChemT Biotechnology: ChemT Biotechnology built a virtual cell for biomanufacturing aimed to operate as a digital twin making the cellular "black box' predictable and controllable to enable target discovery, AI-designed drugs for cells and AI agents for cell engineering.

Hill Research: Hill Research developed TriClick™, an agentic AI infrastructure that focuses on automating clinical biometrics workflows with transparent, traceable outputs, reducing programming burden and accelerating drug development timelines.

Prima Mente: Prima Mente is focused on building multi-omic biological foundation models to decode complex diseases and identify novel therapeutic targets.

Waypoint Bio: Waypoint Bio leverages spatial biology and in vivo perturbation screening to generate training data for AI-driven virtual disease models and drug discovery.

The awardees will receive grant funding from a combined total pool of $400,000 and mentorship from experts across Johnson & Johnson. Select awardees may also receive JLABS Singapore membership.^*
