Medtronic and KARL STORZ Announce Strategic Collaboration to Expand Access to Integrated ENT Surgical Solutions in the U.S.

June 4, 2026 - Medtronic, a global leader in healthcare technology, today announced a strategic collaboration with visualization technology innovator KARL STORZ to expand access to more integrated ENT surgical solutions for patients in the U.S., advancing its vision for a more connected, intelligent approach to sinus care through its AiBLE™ ENT ecosystem.

The collaboration aligns Medtronic's comprehensive surgical solutions for sinus procedures, including the FDA-cleared Stealth AXiS™ ENT surgical system, with KARL STORZ's industry-leading endoscopy instrumentation and visualization systems. Together, the companies will offer coordinated solutions that help streamline evaluation, procurement, and implementation for ENT operating rooms across the U.S.

"This collaboration is about making it easier for our customers to bring the right technologies together in the OR," said Dan Mendelson, Vice President of Global Marketing for Medtronic's Ear, Nose, & Throat business. "By working alongside KARL STORZ, we're building a more connected ENT surgical ecosystem and expanding access to solutions that support high-quality patient care."

Medtronic will also collaborate closely with KARL STORZ to offer joint medical education opportunities, giving surgeons hands-on experience using both technologies together through fellowship courses and learning sessions at industry congresses.

"Our companies have each helped shape the evolution of procedural sinus and endonasal care through decades of innovation and trusted partnership with clinicians," said Chris Smith, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Upper Endoscopy at KARL STORZ U.S. "Together, we are energized by the opportunity to align our expertise more closely, delivering a more unified, end-to-end solution while maintaining an unwavering focus on the needs of the clinical end user."

The collaboration represents another step in Medtronic's broader commitment to actively build a connected AiBLE™ ENT surgical ecosystem, with the goal of delivering more predictable, efficient, and data-enabled care. This is aligned with KARL STORZ, where providing care across multiple sites is also a strategic priority, designed to support the full continuum of ENT procedures with visualization excellence.
