Three Additional Students Arrested Today In Unrelated School Threat Cases

Three additional male students, including two 13-year-olds and a 14-year-old, have been arrested today in the following unrelated threat cases:

A 7th grader at Valor Flagship Academy made threats against Valor, Thurgood Marshall Middle School and John F. Kennedy Middle School. He admitted to making the threats to "scare" other students in his class.

A 13-year-old Haynes Middle School student posted an Instagram story threatening to shoot up multiple other area schools. He was found to have a history of making school threats.

A 14-year-old H.G. Hill Middle School student was found to have sent a photo of a gun to another student. Multiple other students also came forward to school staff stating the student made threats to them that he was planning to shoot up the school.

All three students are charged in Juvenile Court with making a threat of mass violence. The Haynes Middle School student was also charged with making a false report.

Threats against schools and institutions are taken very seriously by the MNPD. Those responsible, once identified, will be prosecuted.
