Public Hearing: Docket 1474 - Duke 925 LLC

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Appeals for Charles County, Maryland, has received a petition from Steve Scott, on behalf of Duke 925, LLC, appealing a Zoning Officer's Decision issued by letter dated February 14, 2025. In that decision, the Zoning Officer determined that the Applicant's properties do not meet the criteria for a legal non-conforming use or situation within the Waldorf Central (WC) Zone of Charles County, Maryland. The subject properties are located at 2985 and 2995 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland, and are further identified as Tax Map 8, Grid 21, Parcel 570 (Lot 9) and Parcel 124 (Lot 10), consisting of approximately 1.52 acres of land.

The Board of Appeals hereby announces that a public hearing will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. This hearing will be conducted in-person format only; no virtual option will be available. In-person attendees should report to the Charles County Government Building Auditorium, located at 200 Baltimore Street, La Plata, MD 20646. The hearing is open to the public, and public testimony is encouraged.

Members of the public may register to speak or submit comments online at: https://charlescountymd.info/BOAPublicComment. Each speaker will be given three (3) minutes to address the Board. If a registered speaker is not present when called, the County may proceed to the next speaker. Written or online comments will not be included in the official record unless the individual appears in person to provide their comments as testimony.
