Team Europe actively present at the Invest in Senegal Forum

The European Union (EU), in partnership with the Chamber of European Investors in Senegal (Eurocham), is participating in the Invest in Senegal Forum, at the "kër European Union" Pavilion, to facilitate the connection between its financing instruments and the projects of the Senegalese government and the private sector. The "Invest in Senegal" Forum is a key event that attracts investors, particularly European ones, to the opportunities offered by Senegal, by boosting economic opportunities in order to seal partnerships essential for the growth of its economy.

The EU, through its Global Gateway strategy, promotes inclusive, green, and digital economic growth, as well as the strengthening of Senegal's food and pharmaceutical sovereignty. Global Gateway creates sustainable and smart ties between Senegal and other countries in the region, and between Senegal and the EU, thus fostering African integration and cooperation between Africa and Europe. The focus is on strengthening investment while promoting institutional reforms through constructive dialogue to facilitate institutional reforms, making Senegal more attractive to private investment.

Over the course of two days, the EU and its Member States (Team Europe) will host panels and side events, including:

  • On Tuesday, October 7, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Oval Room, Mr. Jean-Marc Pisani, EU Ambassador to Senegal, will host a panel discussion with EU financial and development institutions on the theme "EU Global Gateway Strategy: Financial and Investment Instruments and Transformative Projects Aligned with Vision Senegal 2050";

  • Wednesday, October 8, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Agropoles Boardroom, at the invitation of Mr. Serigne Gueye Diop, Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Jean-Marc Pisani, EU Ambassador to Senegal, and Ms. Hélène de Bock, Belgian Ambassador to Senegal, will participate in the panel on financing opportunities for Agropoles projects and mobilizing the private sector for joint ventures with Senegalese companies to fill Agropoles. This session is organized by the Senegalese National Agropole Development Program (PNDAS).

Roundtable discussions are also planned at the "Kër European Union" Pavilion throughout the day on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. Important topics will be addressed, including agricultural development, green entrepreneurship, vocational training, the economic development of CCIs, innovative financial mechanisms, and the energy transition.
