Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Kong Xianhua Attends the Handover Ceremony of Vehicles and Machinery Procured by RDC of Maldives from XCMG

On April 2, Ambassador Kong Xianhua attended the Handover Ceremony of Vehicles and Machinery procured by RDC of Maldives from XCMG. Minister of Finance and Planning Mr. Moosa Zameer, Minister of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Abdulla Muththalib, Managing Director of RDC Mr. Ibrahim Nazeem, XCMG Group South Asia Regional General Manager Mr. Tu Hui, as well as Counselor Mr. Zhang Xu of the Chinese Embassy, were present.

The 230 units of vehicles and machinery purchased from XCMG mark the first large-scale procurement of Chinese engineering equipment by the Maldivian side. This acquisition will significantly enhance the construction efficiency of the RDS and provide strong support for the implementation of related infrastructure projects.

In the next phase, RDS will jointly establish a maintenance center and a spare parts warehousing system in the Maldives with XCMG, in order to build a localized operation and maintenance support mechanism, enabling rapid response to equipment failures and on-site resolution.
