TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Tom Morgan and the reappointment of Steve Boehning, John "Carl" Blow, and James "Buddy" Davenport to the Florida Inland Navigation District.
Tom Morgan
Morgan is currently retired and previously served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department. Prior to that, he served as the Senior Region Manager and a Park Manager for the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department. Morgan earned his bachelor's degree in sports administration from St. Thomas University and his master's degree in parks and recreation management from Florida International University.
Steve Boehning
Boehning is the Owner and Principal Engineer at Coastal Waterways Design and Engineering. Active in his community, he currently serves as a member of the Florida Floodplain Managers Association. Boehning earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Widener University and his master's degree in ocean engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
John "Carl" Blow
Blow is the Owner of Great Oaks Properties. Active in his community, he currently serves as a member of the City of St. Augustine Planning and Zoning Board and the Florida Bar's Seventh Circuit Grievance Committee. A veteran of the United States Navy, Blow earned his bachelor's degrees in real estate and building construction from the University of North Florida.
James "Buddy" Davenport
Davenport is the President of Buddy Davenport Insurance Agency, Inc. Active in his community, he previously served as a member of the New Smyrna Beach Utilities Committee. Davenport earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas.
These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
