Rep. Anna Paulina Luna Nominates President Donald J. Trump for Nobel Peace Prize

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna (FL-13) formally submitted a nomination to the Nobel Peace Prize Committee recognizing President Donald J. Trump for his "bold and unprecedented leadership in advancing peace around the globe."

In her letter to the Norwegian Nobel Institute, Rep. Luna cited President Trump's role in brokering a historic ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, a diplomatic breakthrough achieved through direct engagement with Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey. The agreement includes the release of hostages, a framework for rebuilding Gaza, and a roadmap toward long-term reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians.

"At a time when global conflict is escalating and many leaders hide behind speeches instead of action, President Trump is delivering results," Rep. Luna wrote. "This was not political theater-it was serious, results-driven diplomacy that will save thousands of lives and restore hope to millions."

Rep. Luna also highlighted two additional peace accords reached under President Trump's leadership in 2025:

Armenia-Azerbaijan Agreement (August 8, 2025): Ending decades of hostility and creating the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity."

Congo-Rwanda Peace Deal (June 27, 2025): Bringing both nations to the table to end conflict, withdraw troops, and open the door to economic cooperation.

"Three regions, three conflicts-and in each case, President Trump achieved what career diplomats could not: real peace," Luna stated. "The Nobel Peace Prize should honor not just ideals, but measurable results. President Trump's leadership has saved lives and shown the world that American diplomacy still matters."
