A national movement is surging - and Miami-Dade is answering the call. On Saturday, March 28, thousands of South Floridians will gather at Tropical Park at noon for the No Kings Rally, joining communities in every corner of the country to say clearly and loudly: we will not be ruled by fear, cruelty, or the unchecked ambitions of any one person.
What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has grown into something far larger - a sustained, peaceful national resistance to authoritarianism, spreading from small towns to city centers and into every community determined to defend democracy. Our movement is bigger than ever, and it keeps growing.

We're not watching history happen - we're making it.
When our families are under attack and rising costs are pushing people to the brink of survival, silence is not an option. This administration's unjust and cruel acts have touched every corner of our community: from immigrant families living in fear, to working people struggling to afford groceries, to neighbors who no longer feel safe in the country they call home. We march because we refuse to accept this as normal. We march because we know that power, in a democracy, belongs to the people.
The No Kings rallies are rooted in a simple, powerful truth: we have the power, and we are claiming it together. No thrones. No crowns. No kings. On March 28, rise up, take to the streets, and make your voice heard. Miami-Dade has always been a community that fights for justice, and now is our moment.
☮️ A Peaceful Movement
A core principle behind every No Kings event is an unwavering commitment to nonviolent action. Miami-Dade Democrats are proud to stand behind that principle. We are a movement built on moral strength, solidarity, and the democratic values that define us, and not on intimidation or conflict.
Nonviolence Policy: All participants are expected to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at all times. Weapons of any kind (including those legally permitted) should not be brought to this event. Come ready to stand together in peace, dignity, and determination.
This is how we win. Not through rage, but through resolve. Not through intimidation, but through the sheer force of a community united around shared values: the dignity of every person, the rule of law, and the belief that democracy is worth defending.
We hope to see you on March 28th at Tropical Park
