In an effort to spread the word about animal adoption and to help these loving animals find fur-ever homes, the City of Lewisville will feature a Pet of the Week each week in this media packet, available for adoption at the Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, 995 E. Valley Ridge.
This week's featured pet is Chum, a 4-year-old black-and-white neutered male Pit Bull mix. He is a happy boy that has a high activity level. He loves to play outside and is good with other dogs. Chum is vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, heartworm negative, had flea treatment applied, and sterilized.
Anyone interested in Chum can submit an application through the "Adoptable Pets" page at cityoflewisville.com. Just click on his picture and follow the unique URL to begin an online adoption application. Once the application has been submitted, Lewisville Animal Services will call the applicant on or before the next business day. If approved, staff will counsel the potential adoption and will schedule an appointment for an in-person visit with Harley.
