Portion of Hialeah Street to close to one lane for stormwater improvements

Roadway closes on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025

Hialeah Street at 6043 Hialeah Street will be closed to one lane beginning Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, for drainage improvements in the area. Flagmen will be on-site directing traffic. Drivers are asked to use caution and expect delays in the area.

The project is anticipated to take 365 days to complete, weather permitting. In November 2023 Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners approved an agreement with the Florida Department of Emergency Management to accept $397,145 in federal funding to acquire and demolish the flood-prone structure at 6060 Saddle Club Road with no local match required. The structures on the property have since been demolished to allow for additional stormwater drainage capacity to alleviate repeated flooding and reduce the risk of flooding for residents in the area.

Motorists are asked to use caution in the area. Find a larger view of the map online at https://www.santarosa.fl.gov/ImageRepository/Document?documentID=9780.
