Nominations are now being accepted for the 2025 Rogers State University Distinguished Alumni Awards. Those interested may submit nominations online.
Since 2023, this program has honored noteworthy alumni, their achievement and their legacy, recognizing individuals in three categories:
RSU Alumni Rising Star (graduated in the past five years):
This award recognizes an alumna or alumnus who hit the ground running after graduating from RSU. The nominee should be someone who is making big changes in their community, who is leading a business, and/or who has established themselves as a recognizable talent while representing what it means to be a Hillcat.
RSU Distinguished Hillcat (graduated since 2000):
This award honors an RSU graduate with a record of significant accomplishments in their respective field and who exemplifies the impact that a degree from RSU can make.
Hill Legacy Award (1972-1999):
Giving credit to RSU institutional forebears, this award is open to those who graduated from the university prior to it becoming accredited as Rogers State University (in 2000).
Nominations will remain open through Friday, March 14, 2025, and those selected will be honored at the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner in late April.
Sponsorships for the dinner are available in different tiers, including the Presenting Sponsor for $2,500, Alumni Awards Sponsor for $1,500, Grand Alumni for $1,000, and Table Sponsor for $500. Individual tickets will be available for $50. Tickets and sponsorships may be purchased online.
This will be the third annual RSU Distinguished Alumni Awards. Previous award recipients were Rhett Ables (2023) and Caitlin Ngare (2024), Rising Star Award; Dr. Andrea Hunt (2023) and Jody Moore (2024), Distinguished Hillcat Award; and Rhett Spears (2023) and Dr. Keith Martin and his wife, Lisa Martin (2024), Hill Legacy Award.
The 2025 Rogers State University Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025 in the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center Ballroom at the RSU campus in Claremore.
