First place winners will advance to compete in the SWANA International Road-E-O, which will take place this fall in St. Louis, MO.
Hosted annually by the NC chapter of the SWANA, the Road-E-O gives solid waste professionals from across the state an opportunity to demonstrate their skills driving, operating, and diagnosing machinery such as backhoes, side loaders, and snowplows.
The following City employees placed in the NC SWANA Road-E-O competition:
Solid Waste Disposal Manager Lewis Walker and White Street Landfill Supervisor Marcus Nichols served on the NC Road-E-O Planning Committee.
