SACRAMENTO, CA - Assemblywoman Esmeralda Soria released the following statement today after the legislature unanimously voted to approve the bill package on wildfire relief for Los Angeles.

"Today, my colleagues and I in the Assembly unanimously voted to approve $2.5 billion dollars in disaster relief for Los Angeles, in the aftermath of historic and unprecedented wildfires that devastated the region in recent weeks. To be clear, this is just the first step we will take as a legislature. It is our sworn responsibility to ensure Angelenos get the relief and resources they need as soon as humanly possible. We must do this, in order for these people to rebuild and reshape their lives."
