The City of Abilene has launched a refreshed design for its official website, designed to make it easier than ever for residents and visitors to access the information they need.
The redesigned site features a modern, cleaner layout that adapts more seamlessly across devices, particularly on mobile, and introduces a variety of new tools and enhancements to improve the user experience.
"We're very excited to give our website a refresh with an updated look and improved functionality," said Jill D'Entremont, Graphic Design & Web Specialist for the City of Abilene. "We hope you can find what you're looking for in fewer clicks or taps."
Among the key upgrades:
Popular Resources Section: A new area on the homepage now highlights frequently requested information and current city events.
Mobile-Friendly Design: The layout has been optimized for easier use on smartphones and tablets.
Enhanced Library Page: The Library now features a catalog search integrated directly into the main search function.
New Department Homepages: Public Works and Water Utilities each have dedicated landing pages to better organize and present department-specific resources.
Improved Search Capabilities: Can't find what you need? The updated search bar now combs through not only pages and documents but also City Council agendas and the City's code of ordinances.
The City invites residents to explore the upgraded site and experience its enhanced navigation and features firsthand.
