Due to icy road conditions and low temperatures expected throughout the day, general office operations of ACCGov and workstations will remain closed for non-emergency personnel on Wednesday, January 22. All ACCGov offices, departments, and buildings will be closed to the public during this time. Normal operations will resume on Thursday, January 23.
Updates to the following specific department services are also in effect:

Animal Services - The Animal Shelter will be closed on Wed., Jan. 22 for drop-offs, adoptions, and visits. Emergency services will be available by calling 911.

Courts - The Courthouse is closed on Wed., Jan. 22.

Filings may still be made remotely with the Clerks of the Courts for Superior Court:

Juvenile Court: All after-hours procedures involving CHINS, delinquency, and DFACS matters shall remain in full force and effect.

For emergency matters that require court involvement, or for the need to speak to a court official on an emergency basis, call the Athens-Clarke County Clerk of Court, Elisa Zarate, at 762-400-6497 or the Athens-Clarke County Sheriff's Department, Courthouse Division, at 706-613-3250.

All court deadlines falling on Wed., Jan. 22, 2025, are hereby suspended, tolled, or extended until Thurs., Jan. 23, 2025.

Solid Waste - The CHaRM and Landfill are closed on Jan. 22. Trash and recycling collection services will resume once road conditions are safe for drivers to continue.

Transit - Bus service is suspended and the Multimodal Transportation Center will be closed on Wed., Jan. 22.
