The Marion Police Department is hosting a coloring contest to coincide with its trick-or-treat event on Oct. 31. Children up to the age of 8 can choose from one of the coloring sheets provided featuring Officer Daubs or K9 Taj.
Coloring sheets can be downloaded online or picked up at the Marion Police Department, 6315 Hwy 151. Completed coloring sheets should be submitted at the Marion Police Department on or before Friday, Nov. 7, 2025.
There are three age brackets for children ages 0-2, 3-5 or 6-8.
A panel of judges will select one winner in each category. The judges will evaluate the entries based on completion, creativity, color scheme and overall presentation.
The winner of each age bracket will receive the opportunity to host a 1-hour birthday party for up to 10 guests at the Marion Police Department. The party must be scheduled one month in advance and be scheduled by Oct. 1, 2026. A room host, swag bag and tour of the facility will be provided. The winner can bring in food (pizza, cake, water, etc.)
