Cleveland, Ohio - Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) First Vice President and Vice Chair Judith Pryor travelled to Ohio November 12-15 to meet with prospective and current EXIM customers to highlight how EXIM financing can help Ohio businesses grow through exporting.

In Barberton, OH, Vice Chair Pryor met with EXIM customer Malco Products, Inc., a manufacturer of professional-grade and specialty chemical products, to see how EXIM financing has been utilized to help them compete globally through exporting while creating jobs in Ohio. Founded in 1953, Malco Products, Inc. has been an EXIM policy holder since 2012 and generated about $40 million in authorizations for EXIM.

On Wednesday, Vice Chair Pryor delivered remarks on "Keeping the U.S. Competitive: The Role of the Export-Import Bank," during a fireside chat at the Cleveland Council on World Affairs. Vice Chair Pryor shared how EXIM is structured, explained the due diligence process for approving transactions, and outlined how EXIM achieves its mission of supporting American jobs through exports in collaboration with our government partners.

Underscoring EXIM's role in promoting economic security, Vice Chair Pryor reaffirmed EXIM's commitment to leveling the playing field with the People's Republic of China (PRC) through EXIM's China and Transformational Exports Program and its flagship Make More in America Initiative. She also highlighted how EXIM support has helped more than 200 Ohio companies export more than $6 billion in goods and services over the last decade.

On Thursday, Vice Chair Pryor addressed students and faculty at Bowling Green State University. During the visit to her alma mater, she highlighted how EXIM supports U.S. jobs through exports.

Vice Chair Pryor concluded her trip on Friday, with a visit to Perrysburg, Ohio-based First Solar, which was awarded EXIM's 2022 Renewable Energy Deal of the Year at the 2022 EXIM Annual Conference. Through EXIM financing, this project supported 300 American jobs and a 53.4-megawatt carbon-free solar power project in Honduras.
