City of Pasadena Announces World Cup 2026 Watch Party

PASADENA, Calif. - Join the City of Pasadena in celebration of the World Cup on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. PST, for a free, open to the public watch party. Pasadena has partnered with Pasadena Center Operating Company (PCOC) and Los Angeles County Fifth District with funding from LA Metro to feature the opening U.S.A. versus Paraguay soccer game, offering a fun transit-first experience for fans of all ages.

The event will take place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium Plaza at 300 E. Green St., transforming the street and plaza into a community event space. Event starts at 4:30 p.m. and game starts at 6:00 p.m. PST.

"We are thrilled to welcome the excitement and energy of the world's biggest soccer tournament to our city. We're looking forward to bringing the community and visitors together for a wonderful evening to cheer on Team USA and celebrate the spirit of the game" said Michael Ross, CEO, PCOC.

"Pasadena's role as a host city is a big point of pride for Los Angeles County and a chance to showcase our community on a global stage," said Los Angeles County Fifth District Supervisor Kathryn Barger. "This watch party will bring neighbors and visitors together through the unifying power of soccer. I encourage fans to take advantage of public transportation and enjoy all that Pasadena, and its surrounding communities have to offer."

The watch party will feature food trucks, family-friendly activities, soccer themed games, live music, and drinks for purchase at the beer garden. We encourage attendees to bring their favorite soccer gear and jersey to iron-on custom artwork.

Go Metro! Skip the traffic and the parking hassle - our Metro-designated Transit-First Fan Zone Event is accessible and easy to reach using transit. You can take the Metro A Line to Memorial Park Station or Del Mar, the stations are 10 min walk to the watch party. At the metro stations, Metro will direct fans while adding music, soccer match highlights, and wayfinding support to improve the rider experience.

This event and surrounding sidewalks and crossings are accessible for attendees using wheelchairs and other mobility devices. All Metro rail stations, trains, and buses are ADA-accessible.

Angel City Football Club will also be at the event, providing attendees with the chance to win giveaways, raffles, and participate in soccer-themed activations.

Pets and emotional support animals are not permitted at this event; only service animals specifically trained to assist a person with a disability are welcome.
