Crockett released the following statement regarding the Supreme Court striking down Trump's illegal tariffs: "Today, the Supreme Court ruled on what the American people have known for more than a year - Donald Trump's economic plan was an illegal scam that cost the American people billions of dollars.

Donald Trump promised the American people he would lower costs "on day one". Instead, Americans are facing higher costs everywhere. Grocery prices have skyrocketed, housing is unaffordable, and healthcare costs are through the roof. These tariffs disrupted supply chains, hurt American exporters, and created economic uncertainty nationwide.

Today's ruling provides an important check on the Executive branch and reaffirms that no one -not even Donald Trump -- is above the law. The Constitution grants Congress the authority to impose tariffs. The decision to impose tariffs should be guided by hardworking American families through their Representatives in Congress as required by the Constitution.
