Last year, hemp-derived product orders spiked by over 40% on 4/20 compared to the average Sunday. When it came to how people partook, the classic edible still ruled: THC gummies and candy led the pack as the biggest hemp format representing over 40% of hemp-derived product orders. But drinkable options are catching up fast, with specialty hemp-derived THC drinks at approx. 25% and seltzers at over 15%.
The Ultimate Cravings
When we looked at the items most over-indexed in orders containing a hemp product, one hilarious truth emerged: the battle against cottonmouth was priority number one. Pedialyte Electrolytes Drink ranked as the #1 most craved item of the day, with AriZona Arnold Palmer Lite Half & Half Iced Tea Lemonade Can and Diet Coke also surging.
