Route A ramp to NB I-55 in Jefferson County to close overnight Saturday

JEFFERSON COUNTY- Crews will close the entrance ramp from Route A to northbound Interstate 55 and a single lane of northbound I-55 between Route A and Central Avenue from 9 p.m. Saturday, March 7 to 5 a.m. Sunday, March 8. Central Avenue will be closed under I-55, beginning at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Closure of Central Avenue, the entrance ramp from Route A to northbound I-55, and the single lane of northbound I-55 is to allow crews to pour the deck of the new northbound I-55 bridge over Central Avenue. All work is weather permitting.

Drivers on Route A can use US Route 61/67 to access northbound I-55 via the McNutt Street interchange. Central Avenue will detour under I-55 via 5th Street. All detours will be signed.
