Capito Statement on Nomination of West Virginian Karen Evans to Serve in DHS Role
WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), a member of the Senate Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee, released the below statement regarding the nomination of West Virginian, Karen Evans to serve as Under Secretary for Management at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS):
"Karen Evans is a dedicated public servant, a policy expert, and a visionary leader in one of the most critical areas our nation faces- cybersecurity. She is also a friend and fellow West Virginian. I congratulate her on her nomination to serve President Trump in the Department of Homeland Security. I look forward to supporting her confirmation and working with her," Senator Capito said.
