Representative Manning Applauds Governor DeWine's Executive Order Supporting Ohio Families and Expanding Youth Workforce Development in Lorain County

COLUMBUS, OH - State Representative Gayle Manning (R-Avon) today commended Governor Mike DeWine for signing a new Executive Order that allocates critical funding to help families in need, strengthen support for children, and expand workforce development opportunities across Ohio - with significant benefits for youth in Lorain County.

Under the Executive Order, up to $500,000 in each of the next two fiscal years (FY 2026 and FY 2027) will be directed to the Ohio Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs to provide workforce development services to eligible youth. These funds will support programs in 19 Ohio counties, including Lorain County, helping young people gain the skills, training, and guidance needed for long-term career success.

"Lorain County's youth deserve every opportunity to build a strong future, and this funding will give them access to meaningful career pathways," said Rep. Manning. "I am grateful for Governor DeWine's commitment to strengthening our communities and supporting the young people who will shape Ohio's future workforce."

The initiative aims to expand job readiness programs, connect teens with local employers, and enhance wrap-around supports for families facing economic challenges.
