Greater Detroit Area Toyota Dealers and Detroit Auto Show to Host “Day of Cars, Fun and Memories” for Rainbow Connection Wish Children

A special group of children and their families will share in the excitement of the Detroit Auto Show on Friday, Jan. 17 and Monday, Jan. 20 as guests of The Greater Detroit Area Toyota Dealers and the Detroit Auto Show. The VIP group of children are affiliated with The Rainbow Connection, an organization that has been granting wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses since 1985.

"We are so thankful for the continued support from The Greater Detroit Area Toyota Dealers and the Detroit Auto Dealers Association," said Ingrid Todt, executive director of The Rainbow Connection. "The Wish families look forward to this event each year - and for some - it has become a beautiful family tradition. It provides Rainbow Connection Wish Children with a day of cars, fun and memories."

This is the third year the Toyota dealers have hosted The Rainbow Connection's visit.

While at the Show, these special guests will see the hundreds of vehicles on display and experience hands-on activations tailored especially for budding auto enthusiasts like the Michigan Science Center's exclusive build-a-vehicle area. Together with the Show and lunch, The Rainbow Connection children will receive a bag of goodies from Toyota and the Detroit Auto Show to commemorate their visit.

In addition to the generous support from The Greater Detroit Area Toyota Dealers, Todt said the Detroit Auto Dealers Association has been partnering with The Rainbow Connection for over 20 years.
