Shore Medical Center and Advanced Shore Imaging Associates Team Up to Provide Free Screening Mammograms Oct. 24

Early detection can make a critical difference in breast cancer outcomes. This October, Shore Medical Center and Advanced Shore Imaging Associates are helping remove barriers to screening by offering free screening mammograms for eligible people who are uninsured or underinsured.

The screenings will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, from 8 a.m. to noon at Advanced Shore Imaging Associates, 2605 Shore Road in Northfield. Appointments are required.

Free screenings are available for people age 40 and older who are due for a mammogram, as well as those under 40 with a family history of breast cancer who are due for screening.

Participants must have a prescription or imaging order for a screening mammogram from a physician. Those who do not have this can schedule a free clinical breast exam during the week before the event and receive an order if appropriate.

The event is offered through the NJ Cancer Education and Early Detection (NJCEED) Program, with Shore Medical Center serving as the lead agency for Atlantic and Cape May counties. NJCEED helps eligible residents with limited income who are uninsured or underinsured access free breast, cervical, colorectal and prostate cancer screenings, including mammograms, annual exams, Pap tests, colonoscopies and PSA testing.
