The Arizona Automobile Theft Authority (AATA), a Division of the Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions (DIFI), has released its Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) Annual Report, highlighting significant activities and accomplishments.
The report includes state and national vehicle theft trends, statistics, and highlights for both calendar year 2024 and FY25, including the following:

Arizona reported 17,010 vehicles stolen in 2024, representing a 13.8% decrease from 2023. The state's theft rate of 229.76 vehicles stolen per 100,000 residents places Arizona 15th among states.

Over $5.85 million awarded in FY25 AATA Grant funding to reduce and prevent vehicle crimes in Arizona communities.

Results of this funding include the Vehicle Theft Task Force recovering stolen vehicles valued at over $44 million and the Vertical Prosecution program securing 1,349 felony convictions and $1.1 million in restitution for Arizona victims.

AATA's active public outreach strategies focused on social media presence and direct engagement in community events and conferences.
