Visitors planning a trip to Pikes Peak - America's Mountain this summer can begin securing their spot April 1, when timed-entry permits and shuttle tickets go on sale for the 2026 season.
Timed-entry permits are required for vehicles traveling past mile 7 on the Pikes Peak Highway from May 22 through September 30, 2026. The $2 permits assign an arrival window at the Gateway to help manage traffic and parking on the summit. Permits are required per vehicle.
All visitors must also purchase admission: $18 for adults and $8 for children, with discounted vehicle rates available.
"The timed-entry system and shuttle service help ensure visitors have a smoother, more enjoyable experience from the Gateway to the summit," said Pikes Peak - America's Mountain Manager Skyler Rorabaugh. "We encourage visitors to plan ahead and purchase tickets early to secure their preferred date and time."
Shuttle tickets also go on sale April 1, with service beginning May 22. Riders will park at mile 7 and board the shuttle, with stops at Glen Cove (mile 13), Devils Playground (mile 16) and the Summit (mile 19). Shuttles arrive approximately every 30 minutes, allowing visitors to explore at their own pace.
Shuttle pricing is $40 for adults (16+), $12 for children (6-15), and free for children 5 and under. Tickets include highway admission and do not require a timed-entry permit. Service runs daily through August 9 (except June 20-21 for the Hill Climb), then weekends through September and Labor Day. All shuttles are ADA accessible and include bike racks.
