Mechanics Cooperative Bank Welcomes Naziold 'Naz' Islamaj as Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer

TAUNTON, MASSACHUSETTS - [June 8, 2026] - Mechanics Cooperative Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Naziold "Naz" Islamaj as Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer. In this role, Islamaj will focus on developing and managing commercial lending relationships throughout the Southcoast region, helping local businesses access financial solutions that support growth and long-term success.

Islamaj brings more than a decade of banking experience with expertise in commercial real estate lending, commercial and industrial lending, SBA lending, credit analysis, and portfolio management. Prior to joining Mechanics Cooperative Bank, he served as Commercial Loan Officer for Coastal Heritage Bank. Previously, Naz held the role of Vice President, Relationship Manager II at Citizens Bank and several commercial banking and business development roles at Rockland Trust Company. Mr. Islamaj is a graduate of Cambridge College.
