Latasha White Promoted to Asst. Judicial Division Director for Division IV

Officials with the Division of Community Supervision have promoted Latasha White to Assistant Division Director in Judicial Division 4, effective Sept. 2, 2025.<_o3a_p>

In her new position, White will oversee Community Supervision operations in the 4th Judicial Division, which covers 25 counties in the western portions of the state.<_o3a_p>

"Latasha has been a great team leader in her Division 4 districts," said Leslie Cooley Dismukes, secretary for the Department of Adult Correction. "Her steady rise to this important position is a testament to her hard work and dedication."<_o3a_p>

"I am very pleased to promote Latasha to this position," said Tracy K. Lee, deputy secretary for Community Supervision. "Her tireless efforts speak volumes about her commitment to public safety and changing lives for the better."<_o3a_p>

Latasha White began her career in corrections in 2004 as a correctional case manager at Alexander Correctional Institution. In 2006, she transitioned into the role of probation/parole officer (PPO) and was later promoted to chief probation/parole officer (CPPO) in 2014. In that role, she supervised officers assigned to adult recovery court, sex offenders, and security risk groups in Catawba County.<_o3a_p>

In 2022, she served as the assistant judicial district manager (AJDM) for District 27, overseeing operations across Gaston, Cleveland, and Lincoln counties. Most recently, she served as the judicial district manager (JDM) in District 25, where she managed operations in Burke, Catawba, and Caldwell counties.<_o3a_p>

White holds a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Appalachian State University and is a graduate of the NCDAC Correctional Leadership Development Program.<_o3a_p>
