Lunch at the Library is Back

Oceanside Public Library is excited to welcome back Lunch at the Library, a free summer meal program serving daily nutritious meals to children and teens ages 0 to 18 at three locations across Oceanside through August 7. No registration is necessary.

Lunch is offered Monday through Friday for all kids ages 0-18 at:

• John Landes Community Center Library (2855 Cedar Road)
o June 15 to August 7, 2026, from 12:00-12:45 p.m.

• Joe Balderrama Park (709 San Diego Street)
o June 15 to August 7, 2026, from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m.

• Civic Center Library (330 N. Coast Highway)
o June 22 to August 7, 2026, from 11:00 to 11:45 p.m.

Special events for kids during Lunch at the Library include a visit from a local beekeeper at Civic Center Library on June 24 at 11 a.m., and at John Landes Community Center Library on June 25 at 12 p.m., as well as a Foam Party at John Landes Community Center Library on July 27 at 12:30p.m.

The summer meals program aims to ensure that children and teens have a reliable and safe place to receive fresh meals and participate in engaging activities during the school break. The program is made possible through the generous support of food sponsors, including the Oceanside Unified School District and the Boys & Girls Club of NorthWest San Diego, with program support from the California State Library, Friends of the Oceanside Public Library, Oceanside Public Library, and the Green Oceanside team.
