Board of County Commissioners Schedule for October 27 - October 31

MONDAY, October 27
10:30 a.m. - County Commissioners Board Retreat
The Board will attend a retreat to review the Board of County Commissioners Leadership Policies and Practices. The retreat will be held in the conference room at 10 Burnett Court in Durango.

2:00 p.m. - Executive Session
Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute § 24-6-402 (4), upon the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the quorum present, the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will hold an executive session to discuss the following matters:

1. Personnel matters pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(f). Purpose: Interim County Manager selection process.

TUESDAY, October 28
8:30 a.m. - Executive Session
Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute § 24-6-402 (4), upon the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the quorum present, the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will hold an executive session to discuss the following matters:

1. For purposes of the Board receiving legal advice on specific legal questions pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(b). Purpose: Litigation contingency funds.

10:00 a.m. - Business Agenda Meeting
The Board will consider:

1. Approval of County Cash Requirements October 10, 2025 through
   October 17, 2025.
2. Approval of appointment to the Durango Hills Road Improvement District Advisory Committee.
3. Approval of appointment to Pine River Library District Board.
4. Approval of the re-appointment of Roger Enix to the La Plata County Board
   of Health.
5. Approval of re-appointment to the Lake Durango Water Authority.
6. Approval of changes to retirement plans for 2026.
7. Approval of an abatement for Theosmemas LLC (Account #R014226) for over $10,000.
8. Approval of a thank you letter to Michael and Elaine Moravan for a donation to La Plata County Senior Services direct core services.
9. Approval of a letter to Visit Durango Regarding Resolution of Outstanding Contract Issues between La Plata County and Durango Area Tourism Office.
10. Consideration of Appointment to the La Plata County Board of Health.
11. Consideration of Appointment to the Lake Durango Water Authority.

The Board will attend the virtual CCAT October Interim Policy Meeting to participate in county government discussions with Colorado commissioners.
