Washington, D.C. - Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) today released the following statement on the Senate's confirmation of Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense:
"Given the deeply concerning information we know about Pete Hegseth, I hope for the sake of our troops that he can eventually grow into the job.
"Senate Democrats will insist on vigorous oversight of the Defense Department."
