With EU and Germany’s support, Law Enforcement Academy of Uzbekistan Awarded ISO 37001:2025 Certification, Marking Milestone in Anti-Corruption Efforts

The certification reflects the Academy's sustained efforts to align with international compliance standards. Remarks delivered on behalf of its leadership highlighted the importance of institutionalizing anti-corruption practices, with particular recognition of Acting Director Mr. Salom Samadov's leadership and engagement throughout the process. Presenting the independent audit results, Riad Ibragimov, Director of Cert International Uzbekistan, shared key findings and performance indicators demonstrating the effectiveness and maturity of the Academy's anti-corruption framework. He noted that Uzbekistan is emerging as a regional leader in implementing ISO 37001-aligned systems, with a growing number of certified institutions placing it ahead of several countries in adopting structured anti-corruption compliance mechanisms. The certification follows a comprehensive process of reforms, capacity building, and external evaluation, confirming compliance with globally recognized standards for preventing, detecting, and addressing corruption.

Representatives from the General Prosecutor's Office, the Oliy Majlis, the Presidential Administration, and international partners-including the Delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan and GIZ-welcomed the achievement as part of Uzbekistan's broader reform agenda to strengthen the rule of law and public trust. Beyond its symbolic value, ISO 37001:2025 certification provides tangible institutional benefits, including increased credibility with international partners, improved internal accountability, and stronger eligibility for funding and cooperation initiatives requiring robust compliance systems.

As part of the event, certificates were also awarded to participants of an advanced training course on "Organisation of Compliance Service and Anti-Corruption Issues," delivered for staff of personal security units within prosecution authorities, contributing to the development of sustainable anti-corruption capacities across key institutions.
