The chapter based in GW Engineering earns top spot for leadership and innovation in engineering.

The George Washington University Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Power & Energy Society Industry Applications Society (PES-IAS) Joint Student Branch Chapter has been ranked number one among IEEE PES High-Performing Student Branch Chapters in North America, marking its first time earning the top position.
The chapter's successreflects strong mentorship, dedicated student leadership and innovative programming. Members have also expanded interdisciplinary events, strengthened collaborations with IEEE societies and increased participation in national and international conferences. This recognition follows additional honors, including the 2024 PES High-Performing Chapter Award and the 2025 Outstanding Joint IAS SB Chapter Award.
