Hunt Valley, MD - March 10, 2026 - Sinclair today announced that Harvey Arnold, Senior Vice President of Engineering, has been named the recipient of the 2026 Television Engineering Achievement Award from the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB). Arnold will be honored during the We Are Broadcasters awards ceremony at the 2026 NAB Show in Las Vegas on April 21.

The NAB Engineering Achievement Awards, presented annually since 1959, recognize individuals for outstanding accomplishments in broadcast engineering and technology. Arnold was selected for his leadership and long-standing contributions to advancing broadcast technology and innovation across the television industry.

Arnold, who joined Sinclair in 1998, currently oversees transmission engineering operations across Sinclair's nationwide portfolio of television stations. He has played a key role in helping guide the industry's transition to ATSC 3.0 / NextGen TV, working with broadcasters and industry partners to expand deployment of the next-generation broadcast standard.

In addition to his work advancing ATSC 3.0, Arnold has collaborated with NAB and industry partners on the development of the Broadcast Positioning System (BPS),coordinating field testing at Sinclair ATSC 3.0 stations and helping demonstrate the technology's potential applications.

Arnold is a SMPTE Fellow and member of the SMPTE Board of Editors. A former chairman of the NAB TV Technology Committee, he remains active in ATSC, SMPTE, SBE and AFCCE. He is also a recipient of the Broadcasting & Cable Technical Leadership Award.
