NOTICE OF WATER RIGHT APPLICATION

LAS 34913

Pursuant to AS 46.15 and rules and regulations promulgated thereunder, notice is hereby given that an application has been received from Sundance Mining Group, P.O. Box 389, Klawock, Alaska 99925 for a permit to appropriate water for underground mine discharge water and mining mill water and withdraw up to 1,000 gallons per minute from January 1st to December 31st from underground mine water seepage located within [LOCATION MTRS or Plat description]. The public is invited to comment on these actions. For further information on the application, please get in touch with Jonathan Kummer at the above address or telephone numbers. The Water Resources Section must receive comments in writing by 5:00 p.m. December 24, 2025 at the above address to be considered. If issued, a permit may be extended for good cause shown, pursuant to AS 46.15.110 and 11 AAC 93.120(f), without additional public notice.

Per AS 46.15.133 (a); within 15 days of publication or service of notice, persons may file with the director written objections, stating the name and address of the objector, and any facts tending to show that rights of the objector or the public interest would be adversely affected by the proposed appropriation. Objections must be submitted in writing and may be mailed or hand-delivered to the DNR Commissioner's Office, 550 W. 7th Avenue, Suite 1400, Anchorage, Alaska, 99501; faxed to (907)-269-8918; or sent by electronic mail to [email protected].
