The World Bank Group's (WBG) is preparing the 2026-2035 Country Partnership Framework (CPF) to guide its support to Rwanda's development efforts. The upcoming CPF will cover the period from July 2026 to June 2035 over a period of nine years. The CPF will align with Rwanda's Vision 2050, intermediate targets of 2035, and the National Strategy for Transformation (NST2).
The CPF provides the strategic and authorising framework of engagement for WBG in that country, providing the basis for the WBG's support for the member country's development programs. The CPF is anchored on the country's own development goals, representing client demand from both public and private sectors, which are considered together with the country's development, as well as the WBG's comparative advantage. Consultations and engagement with partners and other stakeholders are an integral part of the Rwanda CPF preparation, and meetings will be held with a wide range of stakeholders. The objective of the consultation is to seek views on the areas where the WBG should concentrate its support so that it has the greatest possible impact on reducing poverty and boosting shared prosperity on a liveable planet over the next decade.
The CPF will also draw from the key challenges and opportunities identified in the Systematic Country Diagnostic (SCD), for which the Bank held a series of consultations and analytical work.
A series of multistakeholder consultations will begin January 27 and run through February 2026, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (MINECOFIN).
Summary notes on the consultations will be published on this page.
