On August 30, 2026, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Nurlan Yermekbayev arrived in Bishkek to participate in the SCO Summit.
At the Bishkek's airport the Secretary-General was met by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Seitek Zhumakadyr uulu.

During his stay in Bishkek, Nurlan Yermekbayev will take part in the meeting of the Council of Heads of SCO Member States, "SCO Plus" meeting, and the official opening ceremony of the VI World Nomad Games, which will take place on August 31 - September 1, as well as hold a number of bilateral meetings with the leadership of the states participating in the events.
