The European Commission publishes European Day of Persons with Disabilities 2024 report
The annual conference 'European Day of Persons with Disabilities' (EDPD) was hosted by the European Commission in partnership with the European Disability Forum.
This 2024 edition was marked by reflections on the achievements of the EU Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030.
There were also discussions on the future steps to strengthen its implementation, and a focus on independent living and inclusive and accessible cities, while celebrating the Access City Award's 15th anniversary.
The conference was part of the EU's wider efforts to raise awareness and tackle everyday challenges faced by persons with disabilities.
