Changing lives with fertility and family building in the labor market

For Darrin Golden, Executive Director of the Family Benefit Care Plan, his decision to lead the effort to add infertility benefits quickly paid off. After doing a thorough review and presenting the information, the trustees of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) wholeheartedly endorsed the addition of the benefits. Within this largely male-dominated industry, Darrin and the team have seen the impact that fertility coverage can have on families. Improving the benefits for the women who are participants in a health plan translates to changing the world for one labor union worker at a time.
