Lancaster, CA. May 4, 2026 - The City of Lancaster is opening the books and inviting the community to an interactive 2026-27 Budget Open House on Monday, May 11. The open house will be held in the lobby of the Lancaster Performing Arts Center (LPAC) from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event offers residents a transparent, hands-on look at how the City allocates its $342 million total revenue budget. "Our budget is more than just numbers; it is a reflection of our community's values," said Mayor R. Rex Parris. "From neighborhood street resurfacing to innovative public safety technology, we want residents to see exactly how their tax dollars are working to build a safer, more vibrant Lancaster."
The 2026-27 Budget serves as the City's roadmap, focusing on strategic priorities made possible by Measures LC and YM. These funds are driving the expansion of the Lancaster Police Department, enhancing the Community Preservation Department, and revitalizing the Parks, Art, Recreation and Community Services Department.
