Azerbaijan Army holds several events on the occasion of the Day of Restoration of Independence

On the occasion of 18 October - Day of Restoration of Independence, a number of events were held in the army corps, formations, military units, and special educational institutions of the Azerbaijan Army.
At the events, the memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and Shehids, who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
The speakers highlighted the exceptional merits of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in the establishment and development of the modern Azerbaijani state, as well as his wise policy aimed at preserving and strengthening our independence. It was emphasized that the strategic course of the National Leader is successfully continued today by his worthy successor, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. It was also mentioned that thanks to the far-sighted and resolute policy of the President, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan is experiencing the brightest period of its development as an independent state built on the principles of the supremacy of law, democracy and secularism.
During the events, patriotic documentaries and artistic compositions were presented, as well as the graves of Shehids and historical museums were visited.
