DALLAS-The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has named Kate Faucher as senior advisor for energy programs.

In her new role, Faucher will lead engagement with energy industry leaders to develop new insights on the intersection of energy and the economy. Through these connections and research, the Dallas Fed is able to better understand how developments in energy markets inform monetary policy.

Since 2014, Faucher has held a variety of strategic, commercial and leadership roles at Shell, including in the U.S. and abroad.

She previously worked in emerging technology on the West Coast.

"Our region is a global center for energy, and its economy is driven largely by the industry's innovations," said Daron Peschel, Dallas Fed senior vice president in charge of the Houston Branch. "Kate brings a robust background in energy and technology along with valuable insights on developments in the energy sector. The Dallas Fed is uniquely positioned to provide this regional expertise, and she'll make a great addition to our team."

Faucher holds a bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University and an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. She holds a certification as an Oxford Scenarios Programme Practitioner from the University of Oxford Saïd Business School.
