The 2025 IRS Forms 1042-S were released on February 12, 2026. Form 1042-S reports income and tax activity for tax nonresidents and foreign vendors. Generally, the activity reported includes:
- Employment, scholarship, or vendor payments are exempt from tax withholding due to a treaty benefit.
- Scholarship, vendor, or award payments are subject to tax withholding.
The forms are available in the Sprintax Calculus profiles in the 2025 module under Tax Forms if a person has consented to an electronic receipt. If you received more than one income type, you will need to print all of the forms listed within Sprintax to use when filing annual taxes. The forms will be mailed to the address on file for those who did not consent to electronic receipt.
