Ames Hy-Vee Employee Honored with Picture on Truck for More Than 40 Years of Service

AMES, Iowa (June 12, 2026) - The helpful smile of an Ames Hy-Vee employee is now featured on the side of a semi-trailer to honor the more than 40 years of service he has dedicated to the company.

Gary Gray's picture was unveiled Friday morning during a celebration at the West Lincoln Way Hy-Vee, where Gray serves as dairy manager.

Hy-Vee first started featuring long-serving employees on semi-truck wraps in 1997, and it has since become a cherished tradition at the company.
