Pass the Kids Off Social Media Act

NOW Co-Signs Letter of Support with a Dozen Other Organizations

WASHINGTON- Today, a coalition of bi-partisan organizations sent a letter to Congressional leadership urging a vote on the Kids Off Social Media Act. This legislation would protect the mental health and safety of children by setting a minimum age of 13 to use social media and requiring strong age verification measures for platforms.

Exposure to social media fuels anxiety, depression, body image issues, and online exploitation. The longer we can delay children's access to these platforms, the better chance we have of avoiding the negative mental health implications of social media. Lawmakers must choose to protect our children and vote in favor of the Kids Off Social Media Act.
