UNDER EMBARGO: Lakewood Elementary crossing guard to receive new car
At 3:45 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, a beloved Lakewood Elementary School crossing guard will be surprised with a new car. After learning they had been relying on rides to get to work, parents and community members raised funds to purchase a vehicle. The heartfelt moment will celebrate the lasting impact made on students and families in the neighborhood.

VISUALS: Dallas ISD alumni return to share inspiring story
In a powerful full-circle moment, former South Oak Cliff football stars returned to Dallas ISD to inspire the next generation during a special visit to Wilmer-Hutchins Elementary School. Now playing at Southern Methodist University, the athletes partnered with All Pro Dads to share lessons on teamwork, mentorship, and giving back to the community that helped shape them.

Dallas ISD bond community meetings
