Two voice students from Commonwealth University-Mansfield recently competed for prizes and certificates at the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Eastern Region Conference and Student Auditions held at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove on March 6-8.
The Eastern Region of NATS is comprised of five states - Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey and New York - and is the largest NATS region by membership.
Third year student Bobby Repp, of Thomasville, won first place in his division, singing "Vo' fa guerra" by Handel in the final round, and transfer student Lindsey Rupp, of Nazareth, won second place in her division, singing "Ach, ich fuhl's" by Mozart.
Both Repp and Rupp are vocal performance majors, studying with Dr. Alissa Rose. Repp is completing a second major in music business.
