Dear friends of the College of Education,
This summer marks an exciting new chapter, as the Department of Educational Policy and Leadership will be re-formed as the School of Education within the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, and the Department of Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology will move to the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences. This transition formalizes a reporting relationship already in place and provides our students, faculty and staff with further opportunities to connect across disciplines.
I am profoundly proud of the faculty, staff, students, alumni and partners who have shaped this college into a community grounded in Jesuit values; committed to excellence in teaching, leadership and service; and dedicated to forming educators who transform lives. Our graduates now serve in classrooms, schools, community organizations and leadership roles across Milwaukee, the nation and around the world. Our success is measured by the countless people we have influenced.
While we mark the close of a meaningful era, it is not the end of our story. The work continues, as will our commitment to telling the stories of the remarkable people who bring our mission to life each day. I hope you enjoy learning about just a few of them in this digital publication.
Thank you for your continued support,
Dr. Leigh van den Kieboom
Professor and Associate Dean of the College of Education
